Rain and Fog Wrap Kurseong: A Student’s Monsoon Update

If you look out the window right now in kurseong, you already know the mood . Today is Tuesday , August 18 , 2026 , and our town is doing what it does the best during the monsoon season . It is raining and completely covered in a thick , white fog .

For those of us trying to go to the morning classes , the weather is beautiful but a bit annoying.Walking up the steep shortcuts right now means you are getting wet from both the rain and the damp air .

The roads are very slippery, and visibility near the Dow Hill area and tourist points is almost zero . The clouds are literally walking down the streets .

The sky might clear up for a short time later in the afternoon , but do not let it trick you . The rain will continue of and on , so carrying an umbrella today is a must .
