West Bengal’s newly announced Bharosa Karmasuchi is being projected as a financial support scheme for educated unemployed youth, according to recent reports.

Under the scheme, unemployed graduates are expected to receive ₹3,000 per month, while other eligible job seekers may get ₹2,000 monthly.

Reports say the scheme will cover eligible educated unemployed people in the 21 to 45 age group, and at least one report says the annual family income ceiling may be set below ₹1 lakh.

The programme is expected to begin from October 2026, with the announcement linked to the state’s 2026–27 budget discussions.

Recent coverage also suggests the new scheme offers higher support than earlier youth assistance programmes in the state, which had lower monthly payouts.

However, a full official notification, detailed application process, and confirmed government portal were not clearly available in the reports reviewed.
