₹360 Crore Again, But Where Is Gorkhaland?

For the past 20 years, the people of Darjeeling have voted for the BJP with a clear hope and expectation — the fulfillment of Gorkhaland and the commitment to abolish the GTA.

Yet today, once again, the discussion revolves around a ₹360 crore budget. But the real question is not about the amount of money allocated. The real question is — have our political rights been secured? Has our identity issue been resolved?

Development in the name of budget is not a solution when it is built on a temporary political arrangement. The people have already seen what GTA has delivered — limited powers, an uncertain future, and incomplete representation.

Repeating the same approach today is nothing but a betrayal of public trust.

We do not need a budget; we need our identity.

We do not need grants; we need our rights.

We do not need temporary arrangements; we need a permanent political solution.

We do not need GTA; we need Gorkhaland.

The time has come — respect the mandate of the people.

Do not betray the trust of 20 years.
